A simple barrier system can make a big difference when an area needs to be clearly separated from pedestrians or traffic.
In this customer installation, our Maxi Plus Post & Chain Barrier system is being used to create a highly visible temporary boundary alongside a roadside work area.
The customer chose the complete 6-post Maxi Plus set with 25 metres of plastic chain, providing a portable solution that could be positioned quickly without permanent fixings.
A visible barrier for an outdoor work area
For temporary outdoor areas, a barrier often needs to achieve two things: make the boundary immediately obvious and remain easy to reposition as the work progresses.
The Maxi Plus system uses red and white barrier posts with reflective strips, combined here with matching red and white plastic chain.
As the installation shows, the posts can be positioned along the edge of the work area to create a continuous visual boundary while still allowing the configuration to be changed when required.
The weighted bases provide additional stability on outdoor surfaces, while the chain attaches directly to the integrated eyes at the top of each post.

No permanent installation is required, making the system particularly useful when the protected or restricted area changes over time.
Suitable for temporary outdoor demarcation
The installation is a good example of the flexibility of a post and chain system.
Rather than creating a permanent physical barrier, the posts provide a clear visual indication that an area should not be entered. Individual posts can be moved and the chain layout adjusted as required.
This makes the system suitable for applications such as roadside work areas, construction sites, yards, car parks, maintenance areas and temporary pedestrian restrictions.

Why choose a portable post and chain barrier?
For applications where a permanent barrier is unnecessary, a freestanding post and chain system provides a practical alternative.
